Happy Anniversary, T!

“I thank my God every time I remember you.”

Four years ago today you and I stood together and said, “I do” and “Me too.”

Set to a soundtrack that included The Sound of Music, a classic church Hymn, and Queen’s “Somebody to Love.”

We have been through a lot (good, bad, high, low and everywhere in between) the past 4 years (not that our cross is any heavier to bear than many others’) but I think we have done a pretty good job. Andy and Katherine, in their Best Man and MOH speeches, both advised us to always keep the lines of communication open. And we do. And we make a continual, conscious choice to be with one another and to love one another.

Let’s keep making that choice, okay? I think it’s turned out to be a pretty great decision so far!

Happy Anniversary Week, T! Remember the day you graduated from law school? You didn’t shave that beard for 3 months while you were prepping to take the Bar Exam - and it must have worked, because you passed with flying colors!

So, I totally didn’t remember to post this yesterday, but…

Thank you, T, for putting up with me for the past six years. Six years ago we chose each other and we have been choosing each other ever since. We have come so far in six years! I’m not saying it’s been super easy, but it really hasn’t been that difficult, either.

Even though yesterday is now kind of just another day, it’s another day that I’m glad I get to spend with you.

Happy Anniversary, T!
Three years ago I got to drop my maiden name and add your last name. We’ve been on some great adventures, ups, downs, and everywhere in between.
Since we got married, we’ve:
- Seen you graduate from law school, pass the bar, and become a real live attorney
- Moved to a new (to you) city
- Watched my car get totaled by softball-sized hail
- Bought a new car
- Welcomed 2 nephews into the family!
- Bought a house
- Seen 4 briefs you’ve written be reviewed by the Supreme Court; 3 ruled in your favor; and 1 PUBLISHED!
- Traveled to Mexico, Vegas, Chicago, El Paso, Phoenix, Tucson, Dallas and Houston, among other U.S. Cities, together
I couldn’t have picked someone better to share these adventures and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
