Today, I’m thankful for:
- My home. I’m so thankful we have the opportunity to own and live in a house that we love, and to make it a home.

Today, I’m thankful for:
- Being one day away from a long weekend.
- The ability to get most of my Christmas shopping done already!
- Stores such as Nordstrom that will be closed on Thursday so their employees can spend the day with their families.
Today, I’m thankful for:
- My baby bro! He turns 26 today and although our relationship is challenging at times, I am proud of how far he has come; that he has a job; his own car; his own place to live; and that he is genuinely a sweet, caring and kindhearted person.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABY BRO!
Today, I’m thankful for:
- The weekend!
- A Baylor win (BIG WIN!)!
- Time with family.
- Long naps that recharge and get me ready for a crazy short week
(Yesterday and) Today, I’m thankful for:
- Dinner with a great friend. One of those friends you can go months without speaking to and meet for dinner and just pick up on your last conversation.
- FRIDAY!
- New glasses. I can see so much better (and it seems to be helping my headaches).
Today, I’m thankful for:
- The HVAC company finding the part and fixing our heat yesterday! Yea heat!
- Coffee. All the coffee.
- My mom, and our relationship. It’s so great when you can call someone your parent and your friend.
Today, I’m thankful for:
Day 10: for generous friends who gave us tickets to the OU-Baylor game so we could enjoy a (free!) day date.
Day 11: for rain that revitalized my plants and lawn, for cooler weather, and for the ability to buy a full cart of groceries at the store.
Day 12: for same day service on our heating unit. The blower (apparently) is out and after calling 3 companies, I found one that can come out today. THANKFUL (and chilly, but not for long)!
Every November, I make a point to try to post one thing every day for which I am grateful. And by “thing” I mean the tangible and the intangible - possessions, feelings, situations, relationships, people, and so forth.
This November, I invite you to join me in this. The rules are: try to post every day, try to post something really meaningful, and try not to repeat anything. Feel free to submit your posts to my Ask box and I’ll post those on here, too!
So, without further ado…
Today, I am thankful for serenity. It comes fleetingly these days, but when it does, I fully embrace it.
